Long-Term Care Planning

We Build the Foundation Necessary to Enable You to Achieve Your Asset Protection and Estate Planning Goals

At Levandowski & Darpino, we have a perspective on drafting estate planning documents that many attorneys do not have—one that comes from practicing only Pennsylvania Elder Law for over 20 years.

We know what actions a client’s family will need to take as the client ages, especially if the client eventually requires long-term care. We include provisions in our estate planning documents that will maximize the opportunity for the family to 1) preserve the client’s home and life savings, and 2) achieve the client’s health care and estate planning goals.

Long-Term Care Planning services include an “enhanced” Financial Power of Attorney, Medicaid Protection Will, a Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will, and a Medicaid Asset Protector Trust.

For wartime veterans and their surviving spouses, we include planning for VA Aid & Attendance Benefits.

Many attorneys (even some Elder Law attorneys!) do not know about VA Aid and Attendance benefits. In addition, many attorneys may label themselves as Elder Law attorneys because they can prepare simple things such as Wills, but, unless they are working with seniors on both Medicaid and veterans benefits every day, they are most likely not versed in the complicated and ever-changing maze of laws that surround these benefits. This is dangerous territory. You need a trustworthy guide who has traveled this path before and travels it on a regular basis.

At Levandowski & Darpino, we focus our practice solely on helping families during this difficult time. It is a complicated area of law with a lot of pitfalls for the unwary. We make sure our client’s journey goes as smoothly as possible. Call us at (610) 446-9626 or contact us here to schedule your consultation.
